USE ROOF DRAIN PAN MODEL SSP WHEN:
is specifically designed to “sump”, or lower, the Frank Pattern 8-1/2 inch, primary cast iron roof drain. The integral sump feature easily lowers the roof drain two inches below the flat roof deck surface thereby increasing the flow of rain water into the sump pan and roof drains.
This versatile roof drain pan will accept the bottom or side outlet roof drain without any modification. No cutting or welding is needed.
Sumping a roof drain is vital if you want to maximize your roof drains potential and eliminate standing water on your flat roof.
The surface area of SSP roof drain pan is enormous at 24″ x 24″ x 2″ deep. The sump area adds to the surface area of the roof drains, thereby increasing drainage efficiency.
Each roof drain, less the area of the sump pan, can drain up to 110 gallons per minute of rainwater and serve a roof area of 5,300 square feet. This is based on a 4″ pipe at 1/4″ drop per foot at 2 inches per hour of rainfall. (ref 2015 Uniform plumbing code.) When you add the sump area, the drainage efficiency is greatly increased.
There are plenty of benefits when you use this sump pan of choice for contractors and property managers throughout North America
